At The Beach

This is actually from the start of the summer, I'm just getting around to backing up my pictures now!

On a REALLY hot July Saturday a friend and I went to the beach, we have big sand dunes near us so it's kind of like crossing the desert before you reach the ocean. It was so hot getting there I thought I was going to melt but luckily the sea breeze meant that the shore was cool. We watched the ocean for a while and padded a bit.

There were some other people there but it wasn't crowded. It was fun watching one little boy who kept running towards the sea when the tide went out then shrieking and running back to daddy when it came in again!

Heading to the shore
Desert!
Me
...and my shadow
People watching the waves

Watching the waves left me thinking that there must be a good way we can make electricity from the sea, then we wouldn't have such problems now with the nuclear plants...
