Circus!

The other week I went to the circus with some friends. It was awesome! 

The acrobats and trapeze artists were amazing, I literally had my hands over my mouth for parts of it. There was a huge 'Wheel of Death' thing that span around and two guys ran on top of it as it span. 

Without safety wires. Blindfolded. !!

There was balancing, trapeze, high-wire acts, motorbikes in a sphere, clowns, elephants, zebras, a giraffe and lions. The lion tamer was British, too.

It was a fantastic experience and something that I've always wanted to see.

Happy New Year!

So far this year has been great! Back to work today though!

I went to a shrine to pray for a good year, my friends and I wore kimono.

I got a special amulet that comes in two sections, you literally throw away the bad luck, so this year must be good!

Then yesterday my friend came to watch Hunger Games: Catching Fire. We decided to do Hunger Games nails, mine turned out pretty good!

And of course themed purikura!

Loved the movie, I think it's better than the book!

Nagoya

I went to Nagoya for the weekend to go to the Creator's Market. It's a twice yearly event where artists and craftspeople have stalls to sell their things. We went in July and were unprepared for how big and overwhelming it would be! This time we were a little better prepared! One of my favourite artists was there and I got to pre-order her exhibition pamphlet as I can't make it to the show. I bought a lot of postcards, mainly Alice-themed, a large sticker of a Japanese influence Alice and a couple of little gifts to send home.

There was also a live painting section where you could watch the artists at work. I'd love to paint something that big one day!

The rest of the weekend involved skating, ice-cream, pizza, purikura and of course lots of laughing and catching up!

Hair set

Last month I went to see my friend who moved to another city to marry. She now had two kids so its hard to meet up big its important to me to try! I'm sad at the friends that I've lost because they married and/or had kids.

Anyway her husband is a hair stylist so he wanted to do my hair, I think he wanted to prove he can do all kinds of hair on his blog.

Anyway even though my hair is pretty short now he managed a good look!

I took solo purikura after too!

Alice In Deadland

Wow I haven't updated in a while! I must try harder. I got an app for Blogger on my phone now so maybe that will help.

Anyway, in the last week of October I went to a Halloween party. My friend used to work as a hostess so she got the club to use cheaply as a favour. I went as Alice in Deadland.

There was another Alice there too along with a White Rabbit and a Queen of Hearts. Everyone put effort into their costumes so it was really fun! I'm already thinking about next year's costume...

Dance Show

Last Sunday was my dance school's yearly performance. We have little ones now and again but this is the big one!

Birthday

It was my birthday last week. Usually I hate my birthday and celebrations are just to try and take my mind off of it but this year I was actually looking forward to it!
